What Would You Do?

Here’s a really quick entry about Derek Jeter and his 3,000th hit ball. (I’ll write a bigger entry when Jeter gets to 3,000.)

Quite simply, with the 3,oooth hit ball worth an estimated 300,000 to 400,000 dollars, what would you do if you caught the milestone hit? (Via Home run or Ground rule double?)

Would you give it back? Sell it? Trade it for some nice goodies? What?

Let me know what you would do, by leaving a comment. I want to hear your thoughts……….

If it were me, I would just give it back. It’s Jeter’s and it would be wrong to try to make a profit out of it.

I would give it back to Derek Jeter but also would want some money out of it and some Jeter memorabilia and tickets to upcoming games. I want to WHOLE package if i gonna give you a ball probably worth millions of dollars after about 5-10 years.

Honestly, I would do some SERIOUS negotiating with Derek. I’m talking make me a deal to meet the WHOLE team, take pictures and get some autographs & front row tickets. Yeah, I could make up a whole list of what I could ask for but just the honor of catching that ball would mean SOO much to me :)

I’d like to think I’d just give it back as well. But, I know that wouldn’t be the case. I like money too much.

So, you want a little of everything. Haha. I would too.

Catching THE ball would be an amazing experience. What a great feeling that would be.

I’d want something of equal value in return. Call me greedy but 1. if I caught the ball it’s my property. 2. It’s not like the Yankees are hurting for money. The ball wouldn’t mean much to me so I’d have no trouble selling it.

I’d probably sell it to. I mean, the money would mean more to me than a bunch of free Yankees tickets, and other various goodies.
